About Tanglewood Park Golf

Tanglewood, which boasts two championship courses designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr., is one of the premiere public facilities in the United States. Nestled among the rolling hills along the banks of the Yadkin River in the heart of the Piedmont region of North Carolina, the Championship and Reynolds Courses are both challenging and beautiful. Golf's greatest players have walked the fairways in pursuit of winning some of the Game's most prestigious events.

Tanglewood is excited to announce that the Championship Course will undergo an extensive renovation beginning in May 2018. The master plan, created by Robert Trent Jones II in collaboration with Richard Mandell, includes reducing, repositioning and renovating all bunkers, and converting the greens from bentgrass to Champion Bermuda grass. The course, which has hosted some of golf's most prestigious events including the 1974 PGA Championship and the Champion's Tour Vantage Championship, will re-open in the fall.
